QUESTION

During linking, I receive the following error message:

*** FATAL ERROR L235: USE RTX-166 CONTROL.

What is wrong and how do I fix this problem?

ANSWER

Your application uses the _task_ keyword to define RTX tasks. Therefore, you must specify the RTX real-time operating system that you are using.

In µVision, you may specify this in the dialog Options for Target - Target - Operating System. If you use the tools at the command-line level, use the linker directives RTX166, or RTX166TINY.

MORE INFORMATION

  • Refer to RTX166TINY in the L166 User's Guide.
  • Refer to RTX166 in the L166 User's Guide.
