CX51: CANNOT FIND ?C?COPYP2 LIBRARY FUNCTION

Information in this article applies to:

  • CX51 Version 7

QUESTION

I compiled code for a Philips MX device and used the compiler directives ROM(HUGE) and MODP2. The linker reports that ?C?COPYP2 cannot be found in the run-time libraries. How do I solve that problem?

ANSWER

The Philips MX does not require the MODP2 directive, since the MX instruction set has already two generic PRx registers that are used by the standard copy function. Therefore you should remove the MODP2 directive and everything will be fine.
