C166: COMPILER RUNS SLOWLY UNDER NT

QUESTION

I just started working with the Keil C166 tools. I installed PK166 V3.xx with Windows NT. The smallest C program (HELLO.C) needs at least 20 seconds to compile. The same program requires only a second or two with Windows 3.11. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it?

ANSWER

No. This is not normal operation for the compiler.

You need the ZIP file NT_C166.ZIP that can be requested via the KB article C166: USING DONGLES WITH WINDOWS NT/2000.
