SOPC Builder is part of the Quartus® II design environment which offers a graphical design environment for configuring and integrating IP - including the Cortex-M1 processor.

One of the most time-consuming tasks of building a processor system is integrating the growing number of components the system requires. SOPC Builder eliminates manual system integration tasks, and allows the user to focus on better system design to differentiate the product. Features and functions of SOPC Builder include:

• An easy-to-use GUI to efficiently build and modify systems
• Automatic integration of SOPC-compatible IP from Altera, third-party IP providers, and IP cores designed in-house
• Ability to efficiently connect to external processor deives using SOPC Builder-ready IP
• Creation of reusable custom components for system inclusion
• Generation of HDL of the system, including a system interconnect fabric
